Adrian de Rooy was born in Holland and came to Canada at an early age. After graduating from the Ontario College of Art, he spent several years as an artist in the advertising field. Because of Adrian’s commercial background, he became versatile while exploring several styles that merge and intertwine. The painting process is constantly evolving.
Painting has been a natural form of expression since childhood. Adrian is a highly developed and sensitive painter. His ability to capture light with vibrant colors as well as varying moods and feelings within each painting is quite remarkable. There is a mystery and power in all of Adrian's work, whether it is a sensitive painting of a child for Hallmark, or the 'Bear Bull Brawl' which was reproduced and highly sought after on Wall Street in New York.
